Highline Beta Accepting Applications For Second Cohort of Safe X Connected Cities Accelerator

November 23, 2020

-

Highline Beta, alongside insurance company Aviva Canada, is now accepting their second cohort of applications for the Safe X Connected Cities Accelerator.

Launched in July 2019, the six-month accelerator works with early-stage start-ups to scale and pilot emerging technologies in order to make cities smarter and more efficient. The program provides start-ups with coaching and connects them with enterprise partners. It aims to tackle issues such as road safety, urban mobility, connectivity and other smart city challenges. Selected start-ups develop proof concepts with their partner and are given the opportunity to test and launch their products.

The accelerator is looking for start-ups whose solutions can help address issues such as cycling safety, pedestrian safety, data, sensors and digital signage. The accelerator invites start-ups to adapt their ideas to the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic - in particular, solutions that address social distancing during travel or enhancements to public transit. The deadline to apply is December 18, 2020.
