Innovative travel startup, Layla, acquired AI-powered itinerary creator, Roam Around, making travel planning even more of a breeze.
Backed by first minute capital, M13, the co-founders of Booking.com and Skyscanner, and even celebrity entrepreneur Paris Hilton, Layla launched in November 2023. Since then, Layla has made waves in the travel and tourism industry, using artificial intelligence to provide users with travel inspiration and plan vacations by aggregating data from platforms such as Booking.com and Skyscanner.
Roam Around is an AI-powered travel planner that generates unique, tailor-made itineraries for users based on their desired location. According to Layla’s co-founders, Jeremy Jauncey and Saad Saeed, as of November 12, 2024, the Company has created over 10 million itineraries for users, making it one of the fastest-growing AI travel startups.
As Layla leveraged its partnerships with Skyscanner and Booking.com to ensure the accuracy of its flight prediction models and selection of hotels, Roam Around integrated with Viator, the world’s largest online marketplace for tours and attractions, as well as a range of restaurants around the world, bringing the best of both worlds together through this acquisition. While the deal’s valuation has not been disclosed, the synergies between the two companies are expected to increase user value and enhance the future of traveling planning.
